Today is the day Joe Biden will get officially inaugurated as President of the United States. Whatever that means. It means many different things to many different people, it seems. For some people it means freedom and hope, for others it means the end of the world. Suffice to say it means he has the most power, as any one person, in American government. I don’t think that’s actually true, but that is the symbol for which he will stand. Previously Donald Trump held this fictitious title and has been on the stage for the past…

In the experiential realm of existence, there are many vibrations which vary in quality. In my previous essay, Heaven and Hell Part I, I used the analogy that the higher notes of a scale are liken to the qualities of Heaven, and the lower notes correlate to the qualities of Hell. Or it could be said, when the vibrations being “housed” in the consciousness are higher, one is in Heaven (with God), and when the vibrations being housed are lower, one is in Hell (without God). …

The concept of Heaven and Hell are so prevalent in human society and life. The associations with those concepts even more so. And yet, the distinctions between religions and cultures about the details surrounding salvation and condemnation vary widely. This leads to much confusion and misunderstanding within interactions, and within an individual’s inner world of thought and subsequent emotions and behavior.

One thing which is clear, and connects all of the varying details about Heaven and Hell is that Heaven is good, desirable, and pleasant, and that Hell is bad, undesirable, and unpleasant. That Heaven is “right”, and Hell is…

If one is able to clearly see, that they are connected by nature to everyone and everything in this entire universe, there may be both a sense of relief as well as tremendous pressure. A great paradox. Because at the same time one can see, “I am not alone — I can never be alone. I am always with everything else.” One can also see, “Everything that I think, feel, or do affects everyone and everything else.” Which begs the question, “What am I thinking, feeling, and doing?” …

There is a fundamental need to be connected to others. Our everyday lives, our happiness, our survival, our growth and evolution — all of this is dependent upon our ability to connect to others. Even when one feels one is completely alone, they are dependent upon countless others. It is only the awareness which does not see or choose to experience this connection. And that is the byproduct of the defender/protector aspect of the ego. The one that is afraid to hurt. Afraid to feel the pain associated with connection and dependency. Afraid of “loss”. Afraid of being separated.

But…

When I think about any particular thing, I like to play with different “zoom levels”, and therefore many symbolic representations appear in my mind. Today I would like to offer a few levels of perspective about this thing we call coffee. One could say coffee is a nice symbolic representation of the way humans tend to view relationship. To themselves, to the world, to one another, to life itself.

What is coffee? It is a seed (commonly referred to as a bean) which comes from a fruit. That fruit is produced from a plant which has caffeine running through its…

Often times I have this sense that the older I get, the more of a child I desire to become. In more ways than one, I see this. And with that, I recognize the conditioning of this society which resides within my (our) consciousness about the idea of “child” itself. I have spent some time on opposing ends of different spectrums regarding this idea of “child-ness”, digging into my subconscious thoughts and behaviors surrounding the concept, the symbolic associations. The connotations regarding different contexts. My feelings and emotions around those different contexts. …

As promised, here is the list I’ve comprised of the top six character traits which men find attractive in women. If you haven’t already read my previous essay (which correlates to this one), “How to be Attractive to Women”, I recommend to go back and at least read the first two paragraphs, as the introduction for this essay would be the same. Just swap the gender terms, and viola’, the same applies.

These are the qualities which I feel a balanced, healthful man desires in a partner, along with an attempt to break down each one so as to give…

I wanted to comprise a list of the characteristic traits which women find highly attractive in men (yes, I will do one for the opposite sex also). I find that many of my male friends are often confused as to why they are perpetually single or dissatisfied in relationships — or why their relationships go “bad”. They are also unsure of what women truly want out of them, or men in general. That, along with modern societal conditioning, and all of our existing in “unparalleled” times of rapid change in the way of making romantic connections, is what inspired my…

I cannot escape my own unique ability to perceive, for the most part. Sure, I could use substances and different practices to alter this, but of course all of that still goes through the filter of my specific, unique brand of perception. I have noticed that changing where my awareness is attuned makes a huge difference as to what I experience, but this effort has to be carefully and conscientiously implemented in order to go in a different direction than one’s default mode. It’s not impossible, it just takes directed effort and patience. Because the body will eventually adapt to…
